Laboratory
Quincy Valley Medical Center Laboratory Services is a team of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Technicians dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services for patients and physicians. Laboratory services are available to patients at the hospital seven days a week. After-hours emergency testing is available 24 hours a day by on-call personnel.
The QVMC Laboratory provides a wide variety of services including:
- Pre-employment screening
- Coumadin in monitoring
- Testing ordered by physicians outside of our facility (with a doctor's order)
- Direct Access Testing -
Through Direct Access testing, you are able to come into our facility without a doctor's order for any of the tests below.
Same-day results are generally available.
- General Profile - includes a Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Complete Metabolic Lipid Profile
- Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
- Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
- Glycohemoglobin
- Vitamin D
Direct Access Testing is available Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to anyone 18 and over. Payment is due at the time of services.
