Laboratory

Quincy Valley Medical Center Laboratory Services is a team of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Technicians dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services for patients and physicians.  Laboratory services are available to patients at the hospital seven days a week. After-hours emergency testing is available 24 hours a day by on-call personnel.

The QVMC Laboratory provides a wide variety of services including:

• Pre-employment screening
• Coumadin in monitoring
• Testing ordered by physicians outside of our facility (with a doctor’s order)
• Direct Access Testing –

Direct Access testing

Through Direct Access testing, you are able to come into our facility without a doctor’s order for any of the tests below.

Same-day results are generally available.

• General Profile – includes a Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Complete Metabolic Lipid Profile
• Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
• Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
• Glycohemoglobin
• Vitamin D

Direct Access Testing is available:
Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Must be 18 and over.
Payment is due at the time of services.
